Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Romeo Bellanca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akio Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bellanca comes into the arena with Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold blaring out of the sound system. Takada has chosen Metallica - All Nightmare Long as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Romeo Bellanca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Akio Takada! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takada lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Bellanca ducks under a wild hook from Takada. A nice inside leg kick there by Takada. That's going to slow Bellanca down. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Takada. Bellanca shrugs it off though. No luck for Bellanca with that takedown attempt. Takada misses with an attempted mid kick.
Takada tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Takada throws a body kick that misses. Bellanca has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Takada throws a solid leg kick but Bellanca takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Takada. Takada gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Takada keeping full guard, as Bellanca tries to pass. Bellanca has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Takada wants to stand but Bellanca is controlling the position. Bellanca throws a big right hand that misses. Bellanca in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bellanca throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bellanca postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bellanca working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bellanca pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Takada is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takada avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bellanca postures up in Takada's guard and throws a big left but Takada blocks it. Bellanca postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Takada is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bellanca, into his guard. Bellanca had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Takada defends it easily. Bellanca looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Takada has picked Bellanca up and slammed him! Bellanca can't keep hold of the triangle and Takada manages to pass to side control! Takada remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bellanca is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Takada controls the position from side control. Takada wants to control but Bellanca is keeping him busy. Takada in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Akio Takada wasn't active enough on the ground. Takada avoids the head kick by Bellanca.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bellanca on the wrong end of a nice hook. Bellanca takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Bellanca misses with a series of wild punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Takada throws an overhand right that lands on Bellanca's shoulder, as Bellanca tries to avoid the shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akio Takada dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Bellanca throws a leg kick but Takada moved away. Bellanca shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Takada defends it nicely. Nice uppercut lands for Takada. That snapped Bellanca's head back.
Bellanca throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bellanca throws a nice looking combination but Takada bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Takada leaves Bellanca with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Takada misses with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takada throws a lazy right hand but Bellanca sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Takada fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bellanca has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Takada cracks a nice hook into Bellanca's ribs. Takada misses with a low kick. Takada misses with an attempted mid kick.
Takada thumps Bellanca with a low kick. Takada throws a leg kick but Bellanca checks it. Takada tries to work over Bellanca's front leg with a kick but Bellanca checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takada throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bellanca lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Takada has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Takada and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Romeo Bellanca is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Takada fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Bellanca shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Takada defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Romeo Bellanca. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takada thows a body shot but no joy. Takada connects with the punch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bellanca fails with the takedown and Takada counters with a good low kick that Bellanca was not able to check.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takada throws a low kick but Bellanca avoids it. Bellanca throws a series of punches but Takada avoids them all with ease. Akio Takada seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice sprawl there from Takada as Bellanca shoots in. Takada misses with a straight right. Takada looks to land a left hand but Bellanca moved out of range nicely. Takada throws a jab when Bellanca was well out of range. Takada throws a leg kick but Bellanca sees it coming and moves out of range. Akio Takada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Takada dodges the punch combination from Bellanca.
That's four minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick from Takada misses. Bellanca fails with a takedown attempt. Takada throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Takada lands with a nice body kick. Takada attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Akio Takada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Bellanca's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Bellanca is trying hard to land a takedown here. Takada sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Takada getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bellanca slips a straight right by Takada. Bellanca shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Takada's guard. Takada wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bellanca drops back, looking for a kneebar! Takada looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Takada looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Takada! Bellanca tries to bench press Takada off him but Takada keeps the position. Bellanca is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bellanca is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Takada content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bellanca is pressing down on Takada's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Takada stands and throws Bellanca's legs to the side, diving into side control. Takada in side control, just content to control the action for now. Akio Takada is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takada looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bellanca trying to remain calm as Takada controls from the top position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Takada working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Bellanca is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Bellanca's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bellanca is not content to let Takada control the position. Bellanca is looking to regain half guard here but Takada keeps moving and retains side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Takada trying to control the action but Bellanca is working from the bottom. Bellanca wants to control but Takada postures up. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takada working away.

Takada lands a nice looking body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Akio Takada comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Takada winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
