Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Layne Fields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kermit Earlandson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earlandson has chosen the theme from titanic as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Layne Fields!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kermit Earlandson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earlandson shoots for a takedown but Fields saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fields moves into range and clinches up with Earlandson.
Earlandson tries to pull guard but Fields holds him up against the cage and eventually Earlandson drops back down to his feet.

Layne Fields has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kermit Earlandson.

Earlandson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fields walks away with a smile on his face. Earlandson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Earlandson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
