Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Duritz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josef Urrah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urrah is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Johnny Cash - Oney. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Duritz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josef Urrah!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urrah scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A lazy left from Urrah finds it's target.
Duritz tries to clinch up.
Duritz takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Duritz throws a head kick that half lands.
We've been informed that Urrah has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Urrah on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Duritz. Duritz obviously looking to wear him down.
Duritz tries to clinch there but Urrah circles away.
Urrah lands an overhand right.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A head kick misses from Duritz.

Duritz darts in and clinches Urrah up against the cage.
Duritz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Duritz.
Duritz lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Urrah backwards.
Urrah stalls.
Urrah tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Duritz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Duritz slips a jab and a cross from Urrah.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Urrah.

Duritz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Urrah circles away from the clinch attempt.
An inside leg kick lands from Urrah.
Urrah misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Duritz.
Urrah connects with a solid leg kick.
Josef Urrah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Duritz clinches up against the cage.
Urrah is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Duritz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Duritz misses with a punch on the inside.
Nice body punch from Urrah.
Urrah stalling against the cage.
Duritz is leaning against Urrah and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Urrah's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Duritz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A short body shot lands from Duritz as the two fighters clinch.
Urrah throws a head punch that misses.
Urrah tries to break free but Duritz pushes him back against the cage.
Urrah is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Duritz lands a left hand.

Duritz breaks the clinch.
Duritz wants to clinch up but Urrah keeps it at a distance.
Urrah misses with a wild body shot.
A left and a right from Urrah both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Adam Duritz has been cut.
Urrah misses with the combination.

Duritz drops Urrah with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Urrah looks back up at him and smiles so Duritz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Urrah is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Duritz throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Urrah is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Adam Duritz!

Josef Urrah spoke after the fight, saying 'Man kan vara vinnare även om man förlorar.'.
