13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baraka Simengwa! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simengwa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mori swats him away and circles back towards the center. Simengwa fails with an attempt to clinch.

Mori swings for the body but Simengwa moves out of range.

Mori takes a swing at Simengwa's ribcage but misses. Donk. Mori catches Simengwa right on the button with a cross. Simengwa wants to clinch and Mori counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mori misses with the head strike.
Mori creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Simengwa's defenses. Mori breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mori jabs Simengwa to the body, keeping him at a distance. Mori throws out a leg kick but Simengwa moves out of range and Mori only half commits. Simengwa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mori swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mori clinches with his opponent.
A short uppercut from Mori. Mori tries to throw a body punch but Simengwa avoids it by throwing Mori back against the ropes. Simengwa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mori smiles and moves away.
Mori clinches. A shot in the inside from Mori. Simengwa tries to pull guard but Mori holds him up against the ropes and eventually Simengwa drops back down to his feet.
Mori stops a takedown attempt from Simengwa.
Memento Mori has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baraka Simengwa. Simengwa tries for a takedown. No joy.
Simengwa manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Simengwa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mori is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Simengwa has his foot on Mori's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mori works his way back into a safe position though. Simengwa looking to control but Mori passes into half guard.
Simengwa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mori landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Simengwa working for a triangle but Mori defends it easily.
Mori throws a big elbow that misses. Simengwa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mori gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simengwa is trying to control the position but Mori postures up. Simengwa pushes a forearm under Mori's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Mori is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Baraka Simengwa! Baraka Simengwa really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Just Fight (Everything 7$) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
