The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

You can see the frustration on Gun's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Benton rushes Gun and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Benton tightens his grip and picks Gun up, before dumping him to the ground. Gun manages to land in guard.

Benton stands up over Gun, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Normand Benton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gun escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Benton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gun can do anything to dispel that myth.

Benton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Tommy Gun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gun's hands.

Benton moves into range and clinches up with Gun.
Gun has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Benton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
