Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miquel Costas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nanaki Yotomishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nanaki Yotomishi has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miquel Costas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Nanaki Yotomishi! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yotomishi clinches. Yotomishi stalling in the clinch.
Costas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Yotomishi lands with a right to the head. Yotomishi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Yotomishi is trying to trip Costas. He has hold of a leg but Costas is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Yotomishi persists though and gets the takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Yotomishi postures up.

We're going to have a standup here because Miquel Costas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Yotomishi moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Yotomishi just leaning against Costas, taking a breather. Yotomishi digs a right hand into Costas's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Costas's gas tank. Yotomishi lands a nice shot to the body. Costas manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Costas. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yotomishi, as that shot connected.
Nanaki Yotomishi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yotomishi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Costas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yotomishi circles away quickly and effectively. Yotomishi has managed to clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Costas misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Yotomishi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Costas or not. Costas is trying to break free. Yotomishi is stalling here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Nanaki Yotomishi. Some bone on bone action there as Costas checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Both fighters circling a little - Costas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Yotomishi moves in looking to clinch but Costas pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Costas tries to clinch but Yotomishi moves out of range. Yotomishi clinches. Yotomishi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are getting on Yotomishi's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Costas working aggressively here.
Costas swings wildly with an uppercut but Yotomishi uses good head movement to avoid it. Costas is trying to push Yotomishi away but Yotomishi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Costas being controlled against the cage. Costas looking to throw knees to the head but Yotomishi is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice left hand lands by Yotomishi.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Nanaki Yotomishi. Yotomishi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Costas, pushing him back against the cage. Yotomishi struggles to land a body shot inside as Costas controls his hands.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Still in the clinch, Yotomishi scores with a nice short uppercut. Yotomishi lands with a left to the head. Costas wants to break the clinch but can't.
The referee is keeping an eye on Yotomishi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nanaki Yotomishi dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Yotomishi continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Costas wants to get back to striking at distance but Yotomishi won't allow it.
Nanaki Yotomishi seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Costas throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Costas is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yotomishi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Costas to the mat. Costas regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Yotomishi works a leg free and moves into half guard. Costas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Yotomishi is working away from the top position though. Yotomishi is looking for a kimura here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Costas is trying to stand.
Yotomishi prevents Costas from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yotomishi passes the guard and advances to mount! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Costas wants to control but Yotomishi is having none of it. Yotomishi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Costas turns into him and now he's in Yotomishi's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yotomishi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Costas passes into side control.
Yotomishi is trying to work for a sweep but Costas has mounted him! Yotomishi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Yotomishi is looking to improve his position but Costas isn't that keen on the idea. Yotomishi tries to improve his position but instead Costas has taken his back! Costas is hanging on to Yotomishi's back as he tries to escape.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Costas's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

This has been an exciting period of action! Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Costas.
Costas is landing with strikes. Yotomishi can't take much more of this. You can see the frustration on Yotomishi's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Costas is looking for the choke from the back position but Yotomishi is controlling his hands well. I really don't envy Yotomishi right now.

Yotomishi is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Costas gets his way!

Nanaki Yotomishi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Yotomishi takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Yotomishi scores with a shot to the side of Costas's head.

Yotomishi avoids a wild elbow strike from Costas. Yotomishi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Costas can't fight it off and eventually Yotomishi manages to take the fight to the floor. Costas looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Costas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yotomishi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Costas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Yotomishi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Costas is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yotomishi is controlling him. Yotomishi wants to pass the guard but Costas is keeping the position. Costas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Yotomishi wants to control from the top but Costas keeps moving. Costas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yotomishi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Costas swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Costas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yotomishi. Yotomishi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Costas, pushing him back against the cage. Yotomishi scores with a shoulder strike. A frustrated look appears on Costas's face as he tries to break the clinch. Yotomishi controlling the action here for a moment.

Nanaki Yotomishi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yotomishi wants the takedown. Costas is fighting it off but Yotomishi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Costas's guard against the cage. Yotomishi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Yotomishi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Costas manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yotomishi has Costas in his guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Costas wants to control from the top but Yotomishi keeps moving. Costas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Yotomishi's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Costas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Miquel Costas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Costas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yotomishi is proving hard to escape from.
And that's the end of the fight! Nanaki Yotomishi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Yotomishi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
