Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bud Weiser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Ripgut!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ripgut gets a clinch.

Ripgut has clasped his hands together around Weiser's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Weiser tries to improve position but can't.
Weiser seems a little lost for a moment, as Ripgut dominates the positioning.
Weiser is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $1000 value that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Ripgut decides to stand back up.
A head kick by Weiser misses
and Ripgut counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Weiser throws a sloppy head kick and Ripgut moves out of range easily.
Ripgut dodges the punch combination from Weiser.

Ripgut closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Weiser did well to prevent Ripgut getting side control.
Weiser is breathing heavily.
Ripgut trying to control the pace.
Weiser wants to control but Ripgut is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ripgut is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Weiser doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ripgut.

Ripgut is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Weiser defends it well.
Ripgut keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Weiser knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ripgut on the ground.

Ripgut throwing shots but Weiser is blocking nicely.
Ripgut is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Ripgut missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Ripgut is taking a breather. Weiser says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sean Ripgut.
Ripgut shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Weiser as he avoids it easily.
Weiser throws a hook but Ripgut avoids it easily.
Weiser throws a series of punches but Ripgut avoids them all with ease.
Weiser tries to clinch
and Weiser takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Weiser takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Ripgut gets the takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ripgut throws a strike aimed at the side of Weiser's head but Weiser avoids it well.
The ground and pound from Ripgut seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Ripgut stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ripgut shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ripgut showed some decent athleticism there.
Ripgut content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Ripgut stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Weiser to get to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ripgut clinches up against the cage.
Weiser is trying to force a seperation but Ripgut has the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Ripgut dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Weiser is looking to escape.

Ripgut decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Crack! A monster head kick from Ripgut and Weiser falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Ripgut!
