Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Taylor has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Daniel Cack's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Cack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cack throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease.
Cack swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cack shoots for a takedown but Taylor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cack could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Taylor feints and as Cack raises his hands in defense, Taylor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cack is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taylor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Taylor is looking to stand up but Cack isn't so interested in that idea.
Taylor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cack. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Taylor controls Cack momentarily but Cack frees himself.

Taylor wants to sweep but no luck.
Cack advances to half guard.
Taylor is looking for a sweep. Cack is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cack is thwarting Taylor's attempts to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cack misses with a takedown

and Taylor holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cack is breathing heavily.
Cack drops down looking for an ankle pick but Taylor pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Cack. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Taylor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cack's head.
Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Taylor lands a nice short elbow.
Cack might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Taylor seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Taylor is looking for a kimura but Cack is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Taylor to get the leverage.
Taylor winds up and cracks Cack with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Taylor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cack is on top in guard.

Taylor is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cack drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cack jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Cack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cack won't allow Taylor to sweep him here.
Cack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cack wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.
Taylor lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cack!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Taylor dominated that round.
That's time! Cack's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Cack misses with a wild body shot.
Horrible takedown by Taylor or perhaps it was just good defense by Cack which made him look bad.
Taylor shoots in for a double leg but Cack sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Cack is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Taylor pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taylor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to avoid it but Cack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taylor to the ground. Taylor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Daniel Cack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Taylor.
Cack sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Taylor is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cack misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Cack tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Taylor is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cack's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Taylor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Taylor fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cack is desperately trying to improve his position but Taylor has a good base and remains in mount.
Taylor lands with some strikes.
Taylor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A close second round but Mike Taylor will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cack tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Taylor cracks Cack with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Taylor lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cack hang on?

Taylor has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cack's face.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Taylor cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Taylor is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cack can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Cack is trying desperately to improve position.
Cack tries to hold on but Taylor pushes him away.

Taylor is just content to waste time from the top position. Cack takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Taylor thows a big elbow that misses.
Cack looking for a sweep. Not yet Cack, not yet.

Cack thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Taylor ducks under a wild hook from Cack.
Taylor tries to clinch up.
Taylor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cack's waist but Cack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taylor off to one side.
Taylor shoots in but Cack avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Cack feints and as Taylor raises his hands in defense, Cack changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Daniel Cack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mike Taylor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mike Taylor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Taylor winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
