Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahab McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Stockbridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stockbridge has chosen Simply the Best- Tina Turner as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Stockbridge! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stockbridge avoids a punch combination nicely.
McGregor fails with an attempt to clinch.
McGregor takes the fight into the clinch. Stockbridge can't get the takedown.
Stockbridge stops a takedown attempt from McGregor.
McGregor pulls guard. Stockbridge slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGregor on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Stockbridge stands up and beckons McGregor to his feet. Stockbridge fails to land with a series of punches.
Stockbridge misses with a body kick. Stockbridge throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGregor's waist but McGregor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stockbridge off to one side. Both fighters circling a little - Stockbridge finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Stockbridge circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stockbridge throws a body punch but McGregor moves out of range. McGregor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGregor shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stockbridge's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGregor passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGregor looks to score some points with some ground and pound. McGregor perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Stockbridge wants to get back to his feet. McGregor is breathing heavily. Stockbridge kicks McGregor off and gets back to his feet. Stockbridge swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McGregor checks a leg kick. McGregor clinches. McGregor tightens his grip and picks Stockbridge up, before dumping him to the ground. Stockbridge manages to land in guard. Stockbridge wriggles free and stands up. McGregor moves into range and clinches up with Stockbridge. McGregor breaks from the clinch.

McGregor tries for a takedown but Stockbridge circles away easily and Stockbridge counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! McGregor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stockbridge lands a nice short elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stockbridge gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Stockbridge shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ahab McGregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Stockbridge. Stockbridge misses with a jab, cross combination.
Stockbridge throws a combination that misses and McGregor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stockbridge! McGregor scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Stockbridge is rocked! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stockbridge can do anything to dispel that myth. McGregor looking to finish Stockbridge with some ground and pound. This is bad for Stockbridge! Stockbridge is still in real trouble! Can McGregor finish him? McGregor lands a heavy elbow. McGregor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. McGregor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stockbridge on the ground. Stockbridge is looking to improve his position but McGregor isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stockbridge is working to get back to half guard.
Stockbridge is trying to stand up. Stockbridge tries to hold on but McGregor postures up. Stockbridge keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Stockbridge regains half guard. Stockbridge has one foot on McGregor's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ahab McGregor dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A shot to de liver by Stockbridge. Beautiful body shot. McGregor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stockbridge moves away. McGregor throws a series of punches but Stockbridge moves out of range. Stockbridge misses with a double jab.
McGregor clinches up with Stockbridge and pushes him back against the cage. Stockbridge tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McGregor just stands there and leans against the cage. Stockbridge tries to break the clinch but McGregor is controlling the position. McGregor pulls guard. Stockbridge preventing the sweep. McGregor controls Stockbridge momentarily but Stockbridge frees himself. McGregor keeping moving, preventing Stockbridge from controlling successfully. McGregor wants to sweep but no luck. McGregor trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! McGregor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. McGregor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Stockbridge is breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. McGregor misses with the combination.

Stockbridge changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGregor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Stockbridge advances to full mount. Stockbridge looking to control but McGregor is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. McGregor can't escape the position.

McGregor is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGregor is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stockbridge has control of McGregor's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McGregor regains control of the situation pretty easily.

McGregor is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Stockbridge has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Stockbridge misses with a kick to the body.
McGregor tries to clinch but Stockbridge moves away and Stockbridge counters with a left and a right that stings McGregor.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGregor with a poor takedown and Stockbridge counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ahab McGregor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stockbridge moves in looking to clinch but McGregor pushes him off. McGregor tries to clinch up but Stockbridge circles away and keeps his distance. McGregor circles away from the clinch attempt and McGregor counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! McGregor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stockbridge with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Stockbridge pushes McGregor off looking to stand but McGregor dives back in and keeps control.
