Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve VanDerbeek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marku Hunto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marku Hunto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marku Hunto! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! VanDerbeek fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hunto doesn't manage to clinch there - VanDerbeek circles away.
Hunto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hunto lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hunto scoring with punches to the head and body. That's better than Hunto was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! VanDerbeek tries to improve position but can't. Hunto is putting a hurting on VanDerbeek here, landing some big shots from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! VanDerbeek trying to remain calm as Hunto controls from the top position. Hunto's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. VanDerbeek is looking for a sweep. and Hunto counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. VanDerbeek looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunto is one step ahead there. Hunto is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. VanDerbeek has his foot on Hunto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hunto works his way back into a safe position though. VanDerbeek is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. VanDerbeek is trying to control the position but Hunto postures up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! VanDerbeek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. VanDerbeek can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hunto controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marku Hunto dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from VanDerbeek is defended easily by Hunto. VanDerbeek avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
VanDerbeek throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunto. VanDerbeek throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
VanDerbeek throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. VanDerbeek with a lazy takedown attempt so Hunto counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. VanDerbeek working a defensive guard here.
Hunto stands and throws VanDerbeek's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! VanDerbeek tries to bench press Hunto off him but Hunto keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunto works to advance to full mount. VanDerbeek defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunto with good strikes from the mount here! Hunto controlling from mount. Hunto is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hunto is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. VanDerbeek can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunto manages to capitalize on a mistake by VanDerbeek to take his back! Marku Hunto has got the better of the ground game so far. Hunto biding his time, looking for the opening.
VanDerbeek is taking damage to the body and head. VanDerbeek trying to control but not successfully. VanDerbeek tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Hunto lands with some strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunto content just to control the position here. Hunto has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! VanDerbeek is forced to tap!
