The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jarvis. Jones shrugs it off though.
Jarvis clinches.
Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jarvis clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jones lands punches and elbows.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Jarvis covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Jarvis is in bad spot here.
Jarvis is trying to remain composed but Jones is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Jones throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Jones doesn't have the hooks in and Jarvis manages to turn into his guard.
Jarvis drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Jarvis off! Jarvis jumps back into Jones's guard.
Jarvis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!
Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jarvis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The ground and pound from Jones seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Jarvis is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones lands a few punches from side control.
Jarvis pushes Jones away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jones gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jones scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jarvis to see if he's OK.
Jarvis is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
Jones creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones looks up at the clock and then as Jarvis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jarvis is rocked!
Jarvis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jones cracks Jarvis with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Jones immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Jarvis is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Jones!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jackson Jones!
