The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moxson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dux tries to avoid it but Moxson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dux to the ground. Dux escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Moxson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dux throws out the jab. Moxson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Moxson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A head kick by Moxson misses and Dux counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dux uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Nice sprawl there from Dux as Moxson shoots in. We've been hearing reports that Dux has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. John Dux has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Moxson. Moxson with a lazy takedown attempt and Dux counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Dux avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dux lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Moxson is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Dux drops Moxson with a huge uppercut! Moxson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Dux is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Dux! A relieved looking John Dux thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
