Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Barney Rumble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bower stuffs the takedown.
Bower looks to land a combination. Rumble sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Barney Rumble has been cut.
Bower moves into range and clinches up with Rumble.
Rumble tries to pull guard but Bower won't allow it.
Bower misses with a hook to the ribs.
Rumble tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bower smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barney Rumble. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rumble shoots in but no luck this time.
Bower throws a series of punches but Rumble avoids them all with ease.
Bower lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Rumble shoots for a takedown but Bower saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bower fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rumble takes one to the side of the head.
Bower throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rumble misses with a takedown attempt - Bower sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Bower scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rumble doesn't seem bothered though.

Bower forces Rumble back against the ropes and clinches.

Rumble manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bower's best efforts.

Rumble is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bower bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rumble's head.

Rumble shoots in for a double leg but Bower sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bower connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rumble's hands.
Bower fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rumble sprawls well initially but Bower persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bower uses his free foot to push down on Rumble's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rumble.
Bower wants to control the pace but Rumble is squirming around nicely.

Bower throws a leg kick but Rumble moved away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bower closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bower lands in his opponent's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Matt Bower.
Well Bower has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
