Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Nawarecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Varnius Pratotipas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomasz Nawarecki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Varnius Pratotipas! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nawarecki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Pratotipas shoots in for a double leg but Nawarecki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nawarecki looks to land a combination but Pratotipas avoids it well. Nawarecki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nawarecki cracks Pratotipas with a good jab. Nawarecki throws a lazy head kick and Pratotipas counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Tomasz Nawarecki has been cut. Pratotipas avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Nawarecki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nawarecki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pratotipas.
Pratotipas shoots in for a takedown but Nawarecki shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nawarecki has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bad Pluto! in the buildup to the fight. A punch combination from Nawarecki misses. Nawarecki lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nawarecki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pratotipas was well out of range. Poor timing from Nawarecki. A head kick misses from Nawarecki. Pratotipas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nawarecki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pratotipas somewhat. Tomasz Nawarecki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Varnius Pratotipas. Pratotipas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pratotipas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nawarecki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nawarecki misses with a body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pratotipas. Pratotipas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Pratotipas misses with a takedown and Nawarecki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nawarecki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pratotipas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nawarecki throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Nawarecki wants to pass the guard but Pratotipas is keeping the position. Nawarecki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pratotipas keeping moving, preventing Nawarecki from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pratotipas pulls Nawarecki in to control the position. Pratotipas wants to stand up but Nawarecki is controlling him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nawarecki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pratotipas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nawarecki postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pratotipas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nawarecki is one step ahead there. Pratotipas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nawarecki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pratotipas is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pratotipas has escaped and now he's on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nawarecki keeping full guard, as Pratotipas tries to pass. Pratotipas stands and steps away. Nawarecki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Pratotipas scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Nawarecki might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pratotipas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pratotipas slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pratotipas is trying to control the action in half guard but Nawarecki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Pratotipas controlling the action here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Varnius Pratotipas. Nawarecki throws a lazy right hand but Pratotipas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pratotipas dodges the punch combination from Nawarecki.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nawarecki moves into range and connects with a jab. Tomasz Nawarecki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nawarecki throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pratotipas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nawarecki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tomasz Nawarecki dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tomasz Nawarecki's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pratotipas is looking to clinch but Nawarecki is avoiding it.
Pratotipas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Pratotipas wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nawarecki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Nawarecki working hard to break the clinch. Nawarecki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nawarecki misses with a two punch combination.
Pratotipas with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Nawarecki to counter with a crisp jab. Nawarecki keeps the fight on the outside. Pratotipas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nawarecki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nawarecki throws a series of punches but Pratotipas avoids them all with ease. Pratotipas is looking to clinch but Nawarecki is avoiding it.

and Pratotipas counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nawarecki looks to score with a jab to the body but Pratotipas is just out of range. The fighters circle momentarily. Pratotipas darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Tomasz Nawarecki is winning the standup battle so far. Nawarecki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nawarecki misses with a wild body shot. Nawarecki leaves Pratotipas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tomasz Nawarecki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Varnius Pratotipas. Nawarecki looks to score with a jab to the body but Pratotipas is just out of range. Pratotipas tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nawarecki counters by clinching up. Pratotipas is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Nawarecki gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Pratotipas trying to stall but Nawarecki improves his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nawarecki pressing his opponent against the cage. Pratotipas is trying to pull guard but Nawarecki turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Pratotipas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Pratotipas has Nawarecki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nawarecki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pratotipas is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Nawarecki has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pratotipas clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Pratotipas trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Nawarecki keeps control of the position as Pratotipas tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nawarecki sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Pratotipas taps out!
