Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omni Kakadu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by happy. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryan Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Omni Kakadu! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kakadu fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kakadu shoots in looking for a takedown but Brown manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kakadu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kakadu closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage. Kakadu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kakadu lands with a nice body punch. Brown pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brown bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Kakadu is working to avoid the ground and pound but Brown connects with a decent elbow. Brown lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kakadu down.

Kakadu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brown working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Kakadu is trying to control Brown's posture but Brown avoids it. Check out the look on Brown's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kakadu is rocked! Brown working the ground and pound from side control. Kakadu is still in real trouble! Can Brown finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kakadu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kakadu seems to have recovered his senses. Brown cracks Kakadu with a big elbow. Brown has hold of Kakadu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kakadu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Brown cranks the arm and Kakadu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kakadu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ryan Brown! Ryan Brown decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
