Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danjie Mercado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercado comes into the arena with Pagsubok blaring out of the sound system. Danjie Mercado has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse rushes Mercado and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mercado fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mercado tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mouse just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mouse pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
We've been hearing reports that Mercado has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Mercado drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mouse gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mercado has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mercado seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mouse does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
