Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Ring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mark Maynard was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ring misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ring is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Maynard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ring clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ring creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Maynard wants a takedown but no success here.
Maynard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ring throws a head kick that misses.
Maynard throws an off balance right hand
and Ring counters with a big head kick but Maynard shrugs it off.
Maynard is rocked!
Ring moves into the clinch.
Maynard is still on wobbly legs! Can Ring finish him?
Maynard drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ring gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ring lands a knee to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ring has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Maynard - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Ring, and another! Maynard is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Jeremy Ring!
