Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Evangelisti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evangelisti has chosen Hunting For Death as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Dragon Slayer is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evangelisti throws out a powerful jab. Evangelisti tries to land a front kick but Slayer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Slayer on the wrong end of a nice hook. A slow jab from Slayer misses its intended target. Evangelisti misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slayer.
Evangelisti lands with a nice body punch. A clash of legs there as Evangelisti blocks the low kick. Evangelisti punishes Slayer's body with a nice straight punch. Slayer lands a slapping body shot.
Evangelisti ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Evangelisti misses with the body kick and Slayer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Evangelisti trying to keep a closed guard but Slayer is proving a slippery customer.
Evangelisti wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Evangelisti wants to get back to his feet but Slayer is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slayer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dante Evangelisti wasn't active enough on the ground. That kick from Slayer tenderised Evangelisti's leg. Evangelisti is trying to keep his angry face on. Slayer doesn't manage to clinch there - Evangelisti circles away.
Evangelisti takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. A thudding body kick lands there by Slayer!
Slayer tries to clinch up. Evangelisti tries a low kick but Slayer avoids it. Slayer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Evangelisti sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evangelisti uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Evangelisti lands with a good body shot. Slayer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evangelisti blocks a head kick by Slayer.
A shot to the body from Evangelisti misses and Slayer counters with a nice double leg into guard. Evangelisti is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Slayer trying to control but Evangelisti is working from the bottom. Evangelisti looking for a sweep. Not yet Evangelisti, not yet. Slayer showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Dragon Slayer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Evangelisti ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Evangelisti will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Slayer punishes Evangelisti's body with a nice straight punch. Evangelisti fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Slayer manages to avoid it. That's four minutes gone in the round. Slayer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Evangelisti with a body punch. A glancing blow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Evangelisti lands a nice hook to Slayer's body. Slayer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Evangelisti throws a leg kick but Slayer moved away. Evangelisti looks to score with a jab to the body but Slayer is just out of range. Good leg kick by Slayer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Slayer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Evangelisti throws a solid leg kick but Slayer takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Evangelisti. Evangelisti tries a head kick but it misses.
A clash of legs there as Evangelisti blocks the low kick. Evangelisti looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A shot to the liver by Slayer. Beautiful body shot. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A head kick misses from Evangelisti. An inside leg kick lands from Slayer. Slayer shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Evangelisti eats them both and turns towards Slayer to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Dante Evangelisti has been cut. Slayer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dragon Slayer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dante Evangelisti's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Slayer clinches up against the cage. Slayer tries to work over Evangelisti's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Slayer has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Slayer. Slayer lands on the inside with an uppercut. Slayer working aggressively here.
Slayer works on Evangelisti's body with a couple of short punches. Evangelisti throws a punch but it's blocked by Slayer. Evangelisti misses with a punch to the body.

Slayer is working Evangelisti over against the cage. Evangelisti fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Slayer. Slayer has Evangelisti pressed against the cage, preventing Evangelisti from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Evangelisti pushes Slayer back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Slayer can't find room to land a body shot as Evangelisti controls the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slayer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Evangelisti tries to throw a body punch but Slayer avoids it by throwing Evangelisti back against the cage. Slayer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Evangelisti misses with a short punch on the inside. I was talking to Slayer's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Evangelisti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Slayer is looking to score with low kicks. Slayer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Evangelisti throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Dragon Slayer is winning the standup battle so far. Slayer throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Evangelisti counters with a one-two to the body. Slayer lands a nice looking body kick. Slayer with a hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Evangelisti on the wrong end of a nice jab. Evangelisti jabbing away but nothing is landing. Slayer drops his hands momentarily and Evangelisti takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Slayer misses with a looping left. A jab from Slayer finds it's way through Evangelisti's defenses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evangelisti lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slayer circles away quickly and effectively. BOOM! Slayer lands a beautiful left hook that drops Evangelisti. Evangelisti tries to recover but Slayer is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Evangelisti lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dragon Slayer! After the big win, Dragon Slayer made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Reaper Combatwear and telling the interviewer how much he loves him. In defeat, Dante Evangelisti stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn.'.
