The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A head kick misses from Sonnen.
Noyworawoot shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Noyworawoot is looking to advance position but Sonnen won't allow it.
Sonnen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sonnen is staying active underneath Noyworawoot, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Noyworawoot looking to isolate an arm here. Sonnen doesn't see it coming and as Noyworawoot extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Noyworawoot!

In his post fight interview, Pud Pad Noyworawoot started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
