The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rawlins throws a hook to the side of Martin's head but Martin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Martin tries to bum rush Rawlins with a series of wild strikes but Rawlins uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Martin misses with a few strikes there.

Martin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Martin throws and elbow that misses. Rawlins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Martin's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Martin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A swing and a miss from Rawlins. Rawlins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martin. Nice defenses there by Martin. Martin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Martin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rawlins moves away. James Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rawlins dodges the punch combination from Martin.
Rawlins missing with a left hand there. Martin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jenson Rawlins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Rawlins counters with a one-two to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Martin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Martin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Martin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
