The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira gets a clinch.
Oliveira jumps into guard, dragging Vieira to the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Oliveira enables Vieira to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Oliveira manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Vieira changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oliveira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Oliveira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vieira on the ground.

Vieira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vieira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Vieira thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Oliveira tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vieira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Oliveira gets caught napping as Vieira dives in and scores a takedown. Oliveira manages to retain guard.

Oliveira stalks Vieira and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Vieira's face. Vieira staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Rodolfo Vieira has been cut.

Oliveira shoots in but Vieira avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Oliveira gets caught flat footed, as Vieira shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Vieira swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Oliveira is now in Vieira's guard. A big mistake from Vieira there, giving up the dominant position!
Vieira had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oliveira defends it easily.

Vieira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oliveira gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Oliveira might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vieira wants to sweep but no luck.
Oliveira is looking to stand up but Vieira won't let him.

Oliveira throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Vieira manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Rodolfo Vieira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oliveira clinches up with Vieira and pushes him back against the cage.
Vieira has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Oliveira tries to score a body lock takedown but Vieira shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oliveira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vieira is working away from the top position though.
Vieira maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Oliveira could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Vieira has cracked it and Oliveira is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Vieira!
