Benton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Shed Seven - Bully Boy. Alexander Povetkin has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Glenn Benton's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Povetkin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Benton walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Povetkin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Benton misses with a wild combination.
Benton takes a swing at Povetkin's ribcage but misses.
Benton tries for a takedown but Povetkin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Povetkin blocks a head kick by Benton.
Povetkin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Benton darts in looking for a takedown but Povetkin gets double underhooks and turns Benton into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glenn Benton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Benton has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Povetkin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A nice combination there by Benton.
Benton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Povetkin swivels and escapes.
Oooooh!!! Povetkin has knocked Benton down with a huge combo! Povetkin steps away and waves a wobbly Benton back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Povetkin Rushes Benton and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Benton is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Povetkin Piles on the pressure and Benton crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
