Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tekken Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akiyama Shinichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tekken Slice looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinichi slips a straight right by Slice.
Shinichi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Slice is refusing to be controlled, as Shinichi sits in half guard.
Shinichi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Slice moves into full guard.
Slice can't keep his opponent in guard - Shinichi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Shinichi has his foot on Slice's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slice works his way back into a safe position though.

Slice got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shinichi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slice has managed to get both his arms back between Shinichi's legs - danger averted.

Akiyama Shinichi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
