Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam McGuiness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Goronov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Goronov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam McGuiness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Goronov!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuiness throws a shot from downtown. Goronov moves away and avoids it.
Goronov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Ivan Goronov has been cut.
Goronov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGuiness moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McGuiness drops Goronov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Goronov looks back up at him and smiles so McGuiness waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Goronov leaves his chin hanging out and McGuiness seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Goronov crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Liam McGuiness!
In his post fight interview, Liam McGuiness started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
