Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Kizashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Liquid Snake! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kizashi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Snake's coach down at Steel Penn/Heavy Hands Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Snake's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Snake swinging wildly here.
Kizashi misses with a jab to the body
and Snake counters with a left and a right that stings Kizashi. Kizashi misses with a two punch combination.
Snake looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Snake sitting in guard here, content to control. Snake must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Snake gets to his feet - Kizashi follows without any prompting. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kizashi is looking to clinch but Snake is avoiding it.
Kizashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Snake moves away. Snake fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Snake dodges the punch combination from Kizashi.
Snake throws a right and a left that Kizashi avoids nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snake lands with a good body shot. Danga de danga de dang - Snake scores with a four punch combination! Kizashi throws a right hand that Snake ducks under and follows up with a left that Snake also avoids with ease. Snake drops Kizashi with a beautiful combination! Kizashi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Snake is looking for the KO!
Kizashi is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Snake dodges the punch combination from Kizashi.
Oh Kizashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kizashi is breathing heavily. Kizashi misses with a hook. Kizashi seems to have got his legs back now. Kizashi misses with a right hand and Snake counters with a nice uppercut. Snake looks to land a combination. Kizashi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Snake drops Kizashi with a naaaaasty hook - Kizashi is in real trouble here! Snake dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liquid Snake!
