Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ed Haskens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Hordeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hordeen has chosen in this together as his entrance music. Kevin Hordeen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ed Haskens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kevin Hordeen! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Hordeen. Those never looked like landing. Haskens misses with a head kick.
Hordeen gets caught napping as Haskens dives in and scores a takedown. Hordeen manages to retain guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hordeen keeping moving, preventing Haskens from controlling successfully. Hordeen pushes Haskens off and gets back to his feet.
Hordeen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A combination from Hordeen does no damage. Haskens looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hordeen throws a combination that misses and Haskens counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hordeen won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Haskens scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hordeen to see if he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hordeen is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Haskens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hordeen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Haskens is looking to take a break and control but Hordeen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hordeen is pushing Haskens's head away, looking to escape. Haskens manages to hold on to the position though. Haskens is working Hordeen over with some ground and pound from side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Haskens is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hordeen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Haskens tries for a kimura but Hordeen is defending well. Hordeen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Haskens has just dragged him back down to the mat. Haskens trying to control the position but Hordeen is working away. Hordeen wants to get back to his feet. Haskens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Haskens is looking to take a break and control but Hordeen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Haskens looks up at the clock and then as Hordeen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Haskens smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Haskens cracks Hordeen with a big right hand but Hordeen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hordeen is trying to get back to his feet. Haskens is looking to take a break and control but Hordeen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Check out the look on Haskens's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Haskens tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Haskens has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hordeen is not content to let Haskens control the position. Haskens scoring with punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ed Haskens dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hordeen moves into the clinch. Haskens manages to break the clinch.
Hordeen throws a combination that misses and Haskens decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hordeen's guard. Haskens stops Hordeen from standing up. Haskens trying to control but Hordeen is working from the bottom. Haskens stops Hordeen from standing up. Haskens makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Haskens drops back looking for a leg! Hordeen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hordeen manages to kick Haskens off! Haskens jumps back into Hordeen's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hordeen is wriggling around but Haskens manages to pass to half guard.
Hordeen is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haskens works his foot free and advances to mount. Haskens connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Haskens has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hordeen's face.
Haskens looking to secure an arm triangle but Hordeen defends it well. Hordeen is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Haskens is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hordeen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Haskens with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Haskens is in the full mount, landing strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Haskens lands a couple of good shots and Hordeen has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Haskens wants to control but Hordeen is keeping busy. Haskens scores with punches and elbows. Hordeen is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Haskens gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Haskens is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hordeen can do to turn this around? Haskens punches Hordeen on the ear. Hordeen staying busy and making it hard for Haskens to control. Haskens connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Hordeen to escape the position.
Haskens is persistently looking for the submission but Hordeen is defending it well.
Hordeen has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Hordeen is trying to remain composed but Haskens is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Haskens lands shots from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hordeen is trying to get back to his feet but Haskens has full control of the position and if anything, Hordeen has just worked his way into a worse spot. Hordeen covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Hordeen is taking damage to the body and head. Haskens is working for a rear naked choke. Hordeen is not defending it well and Haskens has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hordeen refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hordeen's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ed Haskens! A relieved looking Ed Haskens thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
