Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Winston Chong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Willing! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chong slips a jab and a cross from Willing.
Chong wants to clinch up but Willing keeps it at a distance. A swing and a miss from Willing. Chong tries to sprawl but Willing drives through with a takedown into half guard. Willing with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Let's hope that Willing has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Chong is looking to control Willing's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chong avoid being mounted? Chong moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willing looking to sit in guard and control but Chong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Willing bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chong's guard. Willing missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Willing postures up in Chong's guard and throws a big left but Chong blocks it. Willing throwing strikes but missing. Willing loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Willing postures up in Chong's guard and throws a big left but Chong blocks it. Willing throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chong manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Willing tries to hold on but Chong postures up. Willing can't escape the position.
Willing is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Chong thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Willing working to try and regain half guard.
Willing tries to hold on but Chong postures up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Poor strikes thrown by Chong there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Willing blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chong. Chong looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Willing is looking to improve his position.
Willing is controlling Chong's trapped leg to prevent Chong from advancing to side control. Willing moves into full guard.
Willing keeping moving, preventing Chong from controlling successfully. Willing avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Chong stopping the sweep attempt from Willing. Chong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willing trying to keep a closed guard but Chong is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Willing misses with a two punch combination.
Willing lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Willing dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Chong looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Winston Chong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chong moves in looking to clinch but Willing pushes him off. Chong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Chong looks to land a combination but Willing avoids it well. Chong moves away from the strike by Willing. Chong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Willing manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Chong tries to clinch and Willing counters with a nice double leg into guard. Willing is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willing trying to control the position from guard on top but Chong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Willing tries to free his leg and advance position but Chong is retaining full guard. Willing throws a strike but Chong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Chong throwing strikes from guard but Willing blocks nicely. Willing trying to control the position here. Chong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Willing works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chong preventing the sweep. Chong throws a big right hand that misses. Willing has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Willing lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chong! Chong holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Willing tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Willing misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
We've been informed that Willing has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chong bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Willing is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Willing tries to pass to full mount but Chong defends it. Chong tries to roll over but Willing keeps him under control. Willing looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chong with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Willing throwing shots but Chong is blocking nicely. Willing lands strikes from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willing is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Willing trying to advance position but Chong counters by regaining guard. Chong keeping moving, preventing Willing from controlling successfully. Jack Willing has got the better of the ground game so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Willing accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Willing is stalling in the full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chong working a defensive guard here.

Jack Willing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Chong closes the distance looking to clinch and Willing counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Chong darts in trying to clinch and Willing counters with a takedown into side control. Chong tries to improve position but can't. Willing throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Chong is looking to reverse the position. Chong taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chong is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Willing off and has taken his back! Willing tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Willing slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Willing moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Willing has his hands on Chong's head, controlling the position. Chong is pushing down on Willing's leg trying to pass to half guard. Willing is fighting to maintain full guard but Chong has managed to sneak the leg through. Willing blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chong.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Willing keeps control of the position for the meantime. Chong is thwarting Willing's attempts to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Chong throwing shots but Willing is blocking nicely. Willing tries to get to full guard but Chong has control of the leg. Willing is controlling Chong's trapped leg to prevent Chong from advancing to side control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Willing was stalling too much, according to the referee. Chong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Willing swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sloppy strikes from Willing. Those never looked like landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willing throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The fight stays on the outside here - Chong looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Willing tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chong defends well and Willing ends up having to push Chong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Willing tries for a takedown but Chong manages to get underhooks.
Chong is defending well against a takedown attempt. Winston Chong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Willing. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Chong just misses with a elbow thrown towards Willing's brow. Willing drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chong pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chong moves away from the strike by Willing. Winston Chong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willing throws a hook but Chong avoids it easily. Willing swats away the attempt to clinch by Chong. A big right from Willing misses. Chong tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chong moves to clinch but Willing breaks away and Willing counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Chong!
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Willing comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Willing winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
