Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between God Nope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Rinaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, God Nope! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luca Rinaldi! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nope fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nope misses with a head kick.
Nope lands a high kick to the side of Rinaldi's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Nope dives into guard, looking to finish. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rinaldi can do anything to dispel that myth. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rinaldi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rinaldi drops an elbow to the side of Nope's head. Rinaldi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rinaldi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rinaldi is controlling the pace.

He's simply no match for Rinaldi on the ground. Nope wants to get back to his feet. Rinaldi scoring with strikes to the body and head. Nope pushes Rinaldi off but Rinaldi dives into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rinaldi takes a little break here. Nope wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Rinaldi connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Nope some visible discomfort.
Rinaldi cracks Nope with an elbow. That is naaassty. Nope is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Rinaldi working the ground and pound. Rinaldi has hold of Nope's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Nope tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rinaldi cranks the arm and Nope screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Nope, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Luca Rinaldi!
