Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricky George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Artur Strasny!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Strasny counters by clinching up.
Strasny looking for a takedown.
George is looking to break free of the clinch but Strasny has double underhooks.
George lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A short left from George.
George lands a right hand that snaps the head of Strasny backwards.
George gets underhooks to prevent Strasny's takedown attempt.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. George obliges.
Strasny fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ricky George has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artur Strasny.
George tries to circle away but Strasny has him pinned against the cage.
Strasny is trying to pull guard but George has him pressed against the cage.
George with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Strasny turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Strasny is trying to get an arm triangle but George is defending well.

Strasny wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by George, who protects the arm well.
George takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Strasny working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
George is pushing Strasny's head away, looking to escape. Strasny manages to hold on to the position though.
Strasny wants to stand but George has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Strasny slips nicely into half guard.
George is not content to let Strasny control the position.
Strasny is pressing down on George's thigh, looking to free his foot. George is holding on for now.
Strasny controlling the action here.

Strasny is looking for a kimura but George is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Strasny to get the leverage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
George wants to get back to his feet.

Strasny is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so George is just riding it out for now. Strasny eventually gives up the hold.
Strasny thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Strasny perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
George looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Strasny's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice uppercut lands for George. That snapped Strasny's head back.
Some wild striking there from George.
George ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A punch combination from George misses.
George wants to clinch up but Strasny keeps it at a distance.
Strasny circles away from the clinch attempt.
George tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Strasny counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Nice jab there from George.

Strasny moves into the clinch successfully.
George is looking to control Strasny's arms but Strasny gets an underhook and turns him. Now George has his back to the cage.
Strasny wants a takedown but no success here.

Strasny works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
George knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Strasny on the ground.

Strasny thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Strasny works a leg free and moves into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Strasny wants to pass to mount but George is defending the position.

Strasny is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and George defends it well.

Strasny thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed George's head.

Strasny is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Strasny is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Strasny is looking for submissions but instead, George has regained full guard.

Strasny controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Artur Strasny showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! George's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Strasny tries to clinch up.
George connects with a single shot there.

George clinches up against the cage.
George has Strasny pressed against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Strasny has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. George is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
George makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
George lands a left hand that snaps the head of Strasny backwards.

Strasny pulls guard successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Strasny has his feet on George's thighs here. He's pushed George off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! George screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
