Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladmir Zharov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hank Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladmir Zharov!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hall moves into the clinch successfully.
A right hook to the body lands for Hall.
Zharov lands an elbow that stopped Hall in his tracks for a moment.

Hall can't break the clinch.
Zharov creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Hall is looking to break free of the clinch but Zharov has double underhooks.
Zharov landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Hall stops a takedown attempt from Zharov.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Zharov.
Hall is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Zharov digs a right hand underneath Hall's ribcage. Hall let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Zharov is trying to drag Hall to the mat but Hall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zharov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hall shoots in looking for a takedown. Zharov tries to sprawl out of it but Hall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zharov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Zharov keeps control of Hall as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Zharov moves in looking to clinch but Hall pushes him off.

Zharov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hall throws out the jab.

It looks like Vladmir Zharov has been cut.

Hall throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hall is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Hall connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Hall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zharov's waist but Zharov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hall off to one side.
Hall throws a chopping leg kick but Zharov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hall slips a jab from Zharov.
A combination from Hall does no damage.
Hall feints and then cracks Zharov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zharov down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hall, as that shot connected.

and Zharov counters with a series of strikes. Hall will be more careful next time no doubt.

Hall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hall misses with a two punch combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zharov.
Hall scores with a one two! Zharov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Hank Hall is winning the standup battle so far.
Hall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Zharov fails in his attempt to clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hall lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Zharov backs up against the cage.

Zharov swings wildly with an uppercut but Hall uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Hall counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Zharov!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hall tries to control but Zharov wriggling away.
Vladmir Zharov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
