Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barral shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brawn sprawls well. Brawn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barral gets slowly back to his feet. Barral fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A solid leg kick lands there for Barral.
Barral closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brawn circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Barral. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab from Brawn. Nice sprawl there from Barral as Brawn shoots in. Brawn dives in for a single leg takedown but Barral sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Brawn is trying to pull guard but Barral has him pressed against the cage. Barral blocks an uppercut.
Barral has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brawn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Brawn tries to break the clinch but Barral is controlling the position. Barral breaks from the clinch.
Barral closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Brawn's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Barral trying to control but Brawn is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brawn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barral. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Barral preventing the sweep. Barral throws a big elbow that misses. Barral is looking to work some ground and pound but Brawn has wrist control. Barral sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brawn's guard. Brawn is holding on to half guard well. Brawn trying to hold on to Barral's head to control him but Barral postures up.
Brawn wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brawn wants to get back to his feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Paulo Barral wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Brawn looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Brawn fails in his attempt to clinch. Barral closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brawn did well to prevent Barral getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Barral looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Barral is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Barral prevents Brawn from improving his position. Barral missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Barral is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brawn has managed to free his arm - good work. Brawn preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Barral seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brawn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brawn wants to control but Barral is keeping busy and won't allow it. Brawn avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Barral. Brawn is refusing to be controlled, as Barral sits in half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Paulo Barral wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Brawn shoots in for a takedown but Barral shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Barral fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Brawn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice sprawl there from Barral as Brawn shoots in. Brawn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barral sprawls well. Barral wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brawn gets slowly back to his feet. Brawn shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Barral dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Barral tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brawn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Brawn tries to clinch there but Barral circles away.
Barral defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brawn. Brawn cracks Barral with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Brawn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barral but Barral pushes him off and we're back to square one. Barral shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brawn sprawls well. Brawn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barral gets slowly back to his feet. No joy there for Barral, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
No luck for Brawn with that takedown attempt. Paulo Barral has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Brawn. The fight moves into the clinch position. Barral ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Barral no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brawn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brawn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Barral to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Brawn is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Barral pulls down on the head and he's put Brawn to sleep! This one is all over!
