Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rob Tracey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tracey comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - Seek & Destroy. Anderson has chosen The High Road as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rob Tracey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson tries a head kick but it misses.
Tracey takes one to the side of the head.
Jab, jab by Anderson - just one landing.
Tracey comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Tracey counters with a three punch combo that has Anderson backing up. Anderson nods at Tracey to acknowledge the strikes.
Tracey listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Tracey swings for the body but Anderson moves out of range.
Tracey dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tracey lands with a nice combination. Anderson backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Craig Anderson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tracey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tracey connects with a jab.
Anderson looks to land a body kick but Tracey moved away.
Tracey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Anderson.
Tracey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Anderson throws out the jab.

and Anderson counters with a low kick, right behind Tracey 's knee.

Anderson scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Anderson shoots in but Tracey avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tracey connects with a body shot.
Tracey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Anderson momentarily.
Tracey throws a body kick that misses.
Tracey stuns Anderson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tracey misses with a jab, cross combination.
Anderson misses with a low kick.
Tracey throws a series of punches but Anderson moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Tracey.
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tracey tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tracey to the ground. Tracey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rob Tracey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Anderson.
Anderson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tracey sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Anderson scores with a jab. Tracey acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anderson scores with a spinning back kick!
Tracey takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Tracey misses the shot to the body.
Anderson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Anderson darts in looking for a takedown but Tracey gets double underhooks and turns Anderson into the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Tracey.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Tracey won't allow it.
Tracey gets underhooks to prevent Anderson's takedown attempt.

Tracey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tracey throws a jab when Anderson was well out of range.
Anderson misses with a head kick.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown but Tracey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anderson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tracey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively.
We've been told by Tracey's head coaches at Nights Watch MMA Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tracey throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Anderson on the side of the head.
Tracey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively.
Anderson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tracey moves out of range of the strikes.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tracey, as that shot connected.
Tracey slips under a jab from Anderson.
A big right from Tracey misses.
Anderson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rob Tracey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Anderson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Anderson lands with a cross.
Anderson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tracey pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tracey misses with an uppercut.

Anderson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tracey misses with a left hand
and Anderson counters with an inside leg kick.
We've been informed that Anderson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Anderson tries to clinch but Tracey is having none of it.
Anderson throws a shot from downtown. Tracey moves away and avoids it.
Tracey connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Anderson momentarily.
Tracey checks the leg kick nicely there.
A low kick from Anderson misses
and Tracey counters with a stiff right hand.
Tracey's jab looks to have found its range, popping Anderson under the eye.
Tracey falls off balance throwing a combination
and Anderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tracey bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Anderson's head backwards.
Tracey scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Anderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Well, if Anderson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Anderson is trying to control the action in half guard but Tracey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Tracey is doing well to control the position and prevent Anderson from advancing to side control.
Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Tracey is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Anderson is working for a submission of some sort.
Anderson trying to control from Tracey's half guard. Tracey has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Anderson wants to pass the guard but Tracey is keeping the position.
Anderson works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Anderson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Tracey still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Tracey has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Tracey tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Anderson sneaks back into half guard.
Tracey trying to control from Anderson's half guard. Anderson has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Anderson wants to sweep here but Tracey controlling him for the moment.
Tracey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Anderson is looking for a triangle but Tracey pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Anderson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Anderson wants to take a breather but Tracey is having none of it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

and Anderson counters with an inside leg kick.
Tracey throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Anderson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tracey tries to land a leg kick but Anderson saw it coming and moves away.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tracey as he avoids it easily.
Tracey cracks a nice hook into Anderson's ribs.
Tracey lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Anderson throws a head kick that Tracey semi-blocks.
Anderson throws a solid leg kick but Tracey takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Anderson.

Tracey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Tracey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Tracey walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Anderson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Tracey loads up on a big right hand but Anderson slips the punch.

Anderson avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Tracey throws out a loose jab but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Anderson throws a sloppy head kick and Tracey moves out of range easily.
Anderson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tracey tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tracey to the ground. Tracey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tracey's jab looks to have found its range, popping Anderson under the eye.
