Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Vaughn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rasmus Reane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Will Vaughn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rasmus Reane!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Reane with that takedown attempt.
Reane shoots and misses

and Vaughn counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Reane!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Reane wants to control but Vaughn postures up.
Vaughn wants to control but Reane is keeping him busy.

Vaughn creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Vaughn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Reane is trying to escape the position but Vaughn is controlling the position.
Vaughn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reane keeps working.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reane controls Vaughn momentarily but Vaughn frees himself.

Reane tries to roll over but Vaughn keeps him under control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vaughn connects with a nice short shot to Reane's temple.
Vaughn is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Vaughn slows the pace down in half guard.

Vaughn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Reane takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Reane is looking for a sweep. Vaughn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Vaughn working over Reane with some ground and pound. Reane looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Reane is looking to improve his position.
Reane looks winded!
Reane is staying active underneath Vaughn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Vaughn is looking to advance position but Reane won't allow it.
Vaughn is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.


Reane is rocked!
Vaughn passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vaughn looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Reane covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
