Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kim Young Il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartek Pietrzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Il comes to the cage accompanied by RATM - Renegades of Funk. Bartek Pietrzak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kim Young Il! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Bartek Pietrzak! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pietrzak connects with an inside leg kick. Pietrzak throws a head kick that misses. Pietrzak looks to land a body kick but Il moved away. Il lands the left hand. Pietrzak throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Il counters with a nice body kick. Il throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Il scores with a kick to the midsection. Il throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Pietrzak thuds his right hand into Il's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Il misses with a low kick.
Il fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pietrzak is out of range. Il uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pietrzak.
A solid leg kick lands there for Pietrzak.
Il throws a sloppy body shot
and Pietrzak counters with a lovely straight right hand! This has been an exciting period of action! Il wants to slow Pietrzak down by chopping away at his legs. Il thumps Pietrzak with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Il fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pietrzak has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pietrzak fails with the takedown. Il gets a double leg takedown into Pietrzak's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Il is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Il postures up.

Bartek Pietrzak has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Good shot there by Il. Pietrzak moves out of range of the body kick. Il misses with a low kick. Pietrzak shoots in for a takedown but Il shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Il looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice body kick from Il. Il throws a jab when Pietrzak was well out of range. Il throws the left hand but Pietrzak avoids the punch easily. Il throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pietrzak throws a hook but Il blocks it. Pietrzak throws a body punch but Il moves out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Pietrzak. Il does a little dance to reset his feet. Il looks for a takedown but Pietrzak sprawls well. Pietrzak slips a jab from Il.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Il throws a jab but it's blocked by Pietrzak. Good work by Pietrzak as he checks the leg kick. Il closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Il lands in his opponent's guard. Il won't allow Pietrzak to sweep him here. Il showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Il throws an elbow that misses. Pietrzak uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Il's guard. Nice move by Pietrzak! In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pietrzak working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Pietrzak throws a strike but Il rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Pietrzak being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Il is looking to work some ground and pound but Pietrzak has wrist control. Pietrzak has his hands on Il's head, controlling the position. Il wants to control from the top but Pietrzak keeps moving. Pietrzak trying to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bartek Pietrzak. Il thows a body shot but no joy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Il misses with a combination
so Pietrzak counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kim Young Il will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Pietrzak uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Il. Il stuns Pietrzak with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Il lands with a good body shot. Kim Young Il seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Il misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Pietrzak throws a jab but it's blocked by Il. Pietrzak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Il sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pietrzak somewhat. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pietrzak. Il lands a jab-cross combination. Il looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pietrzak has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Il might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pietrzak keeping moving, preventing Il from controlling successfully. Kim Young Il overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pietrzak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Il manages to get himself to full guard.

Kim Young Il dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pietrzak's corner calls for a 1-2. Pietrzak obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Il misses with a looping left. Pietrzak fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Il checks it well. Il misses with a body kick. Il shoots in but no luck this time. Pietrzak misses with a wild body shot. Il throws a leg kick that is checked and Pietrzak counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Il is lucky that one didn't land flush. Il misses with an attempted mid kick.
A clash of legs there as Pietrzak blocks the low kick. Il thows a body shot but no joy. Il looks to land a left hand but Pietrzak moved out of range nicely. Il feints and then cracks Pietrzak's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pietrzak down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Il tests Pietrzak's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pietrzak thows a body shot but no joy. A big right from Pietrzak misses. Il throws a shot to the body.
Il ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Il throws a leg kick but Pietrzak checks it. Il throws a nice outside leg kick. Il uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pietrzak. Il throws a jab when Pietrzak was well out of range. Pietrzak rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Il counters with a good low kick that Pietrzak was not able to check. Pietrzak lands with a hook. Il tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Kim Young Il is winning the standup battle so far. A punch combination from Il misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Il fails with the takedown. Pietrzak scores with a hook. Il pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pietrzak back to the cage. Il follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A jab from Pietrzak does it's job there. Il throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Pietrzak counters with a left to the body. Il goes for a double leg but Pietrzak avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pietrzak continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kim Young Il. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pietrzak is looking to take this one to the mat. Il misses with some punches.

Pietrzak scores with the left hand. Il knows he should have avoided that one. Pietrzak feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Il's calf. Some bone on bone action there as Il checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Pietrzak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Il moves away. Pietrzak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Il avoids it really well and circles away. Pietrzak scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Il takes a swing at Pietrzak's ribcage but misses. Pietrzak takes one to the side of the head.

Il throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pietrzak. Pietrzak misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pietrzak swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Pietrzak. Il shrugs it off though. Il misses with a hook. Il closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Il lands in his opponent's guard. Il preventing the sweep. Il seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pietrzak for as long as he can get away with. Pietrzak looking to control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Il scoring well with a low kick there.

Il is working away from the top position though. Il wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pietrzak keeps working.
