Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dim Sung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Barnett!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnett shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sung is trying to defend but Barnett finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sung blocking the ground and pound attempt from Barnett.
Sung is looking to control Barnett's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sung avoid being mounted?
Sung is looking for a sweep. Barnett is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Barnett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sung wants to get back to full guard.

Barnett is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sung slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Sung manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Barnett manages to get himself to full guard.
Sung showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sung pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barnett is keeping the position for now.
Sung slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Barnett has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sung has passed into side control.
Sung controls the position.
You can see the frustration on Barnett's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Barnett tries to buck Sung off but Sung is having none of it.
Sung just content to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barnett is trying to control Sung's posture but Sung avoids it.
Sung wants to control for a moment but Barnett uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Dim Sung dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sung looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Dim Sung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Barnett looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Sung has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sung throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Barnett because Sung loaded up on that one.
Sung manages to capitalize on a mistake by Barnett to take his back!
Good control from Sung.

Sung has managed to slip his arm under Barnett's chin. This could be all over... yep, Barnett is tapping out! Submission win for Sung.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dim Sung!
After the fight, Dim Sung was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
