Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Renato Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davi Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie's entrance music is Bring Da Ruckus. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Alves does no damage.
A slow jab from Gracie misses its intended target.
Nice body kick from Gracie.
That kick from Alves tenderised Gracie's leg. Gracie is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gracie takes a swing at Alves's ribcage but misses.
Alves lands a head shot.

Alves feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
Alves postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Renato Gracie will probably get the nod.
