Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Wilbon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Wilbon!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Ross!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilbon works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Bob Ross has been cut.
Horrible takedown by Ross or perhaps it was just good defense by Wilbon which made him look bad.
Ross moves away from the strike by Wilbon.
Wilbon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ross fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Wilbon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ross avoids the body shot from Wilbon.
A big right from Wilbon misses.
Ross fails with the takedown.
Craig Wilbon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Ross.
Wilbon's corner calls for a 1-2. Wilbon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Ross shoots in and bounces Wilbon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wilbon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ross wants to control from the top but Wilbon keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross with a nice head shot there.
Wilbon trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Ross trying to control but Wilbon is working from the bottom.
Wilbon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ross is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ross is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wilbon is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ross has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ross wants to hold on but Wilbon pushes him away.

Wilbon is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ross can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Wilbon is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.

Wilbon swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ross is now in Wilbon's guard. A big mistake from Wilbon there, giving up the dominant position!

Wilbon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ross is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wilbon.
Wilbon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilbon defending against the ground and pound.
Ross tries to score with some ground and pound. Wilbon controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Ross throws an elbow but Wilbon slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ross trying to control the position but Wilbon is working away.
Ross landing strikes.


It looks like Craig Wilbon has been cut.
Ross lands a decent elbow from side control.
Ross tries to move to mount but Wilbon blocks the move with his legs.
Ross scoring with punches from side control.
Ross trying to control the position but Wilbon is working away.
Wilbon sneaks back into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ross tries to pass to full mount but Wilbon defends it.
Ross wants to control but Wilbon is keeping him busy.
Wilbon wants to control but Ross is keeping busy.
Ross tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wilbon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Wilbon is staying active underneath Ross, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wilbon throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Ross tumbling to the canvas!


Ross is rocked!
Ross looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wilbon postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Ross covers up, he's hurt! Wilbon keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Wilbon and the ref steps in to end the fight! Wilbon can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Craig Wilbon!
Craig Wilbon retains his super heavyweight title!
