Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frankie McNasty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Eurodancer as his entrance music. Jimmy Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie McNasty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Jones!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNasty drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

McNasty decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get!
McNasty shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones tries for a takedown but McNasty circles away easily

and McNasty counters with a takedown into side control.
Jones stops McNasty from passing to mount.
McNasty is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.

McNasty decides to stand back up. McNasty steps back and let's Jones get back to his feet.
McNasty lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

and McNasty counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McNasty.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McNasty gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Frankie McNasty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Jones.

Jones trying to get back to full guard but McNasty takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - McNasty's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

You can see the frustration on Jones's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
McNasty gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

McNasty is riding his opponent, not letting Jones buck him off.

McNasty has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
McNasty's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McNasty is looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNasty takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

McNasty tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Jones tries to control but McNasty wriggling away.

Jones tries to take his opponent's back but McNasty turns with him and manages to move into guard on the top. Nice work.
McNasty stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.

McNasty drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McNasty has Jones in his guard.
McNasty will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Frankie McNasty overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McNasty keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
McNasty controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
McNasty is trying to hold Jones in close to prevent damage but Jones has managed to pass into half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jimmy Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McNasty looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.

Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McNasty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
