Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Cesar Alcaraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julius Cesar Alcaraz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Denis Turk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julius Cesar Alcaraz!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcaraz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Turk listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


It looks like Julius Cesar Alcaraz has been cut.
Alcaraz slips a jab and a cross from Turk.
Alcaraz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Turk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Alcaraz sprawls well. Alcaraz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Turk gets slowly back to his feet.

Turk throws a right and a left that Alcaraz avoids nicely.

Alcaraz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Turk has a takedown stuffed.

Turk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Alcaraz defends it nicely.

Turk is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Alcaraz still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Alcaraz has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Alcaraz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turk keeps working.
Turk gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Turk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Turk is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at LOD Gym Now with StandUP that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Alcaraz is thwarting Turk's attempts to control the position.
Turk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Alcaraz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alcaraz moves nicely into side control.
Alcaraz cracks Turk with a big right hand but Turk just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Alcaraz is looking to take a break and control but Turk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Turk is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alcaraz defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turk postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Turk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Turk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Alcaraz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The strikes coming from Turk are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alcaraz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Alcaraz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alcaraz has managed to get both his arms back between Turk's legs - danger averted.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Turk darts in looking for a takedown but Alcaraz gets double underhooks and turns Turk into the cage.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Julius Cesar Alcaraz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Turk uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alcaraz.
Alcaraz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alcaraz wants it to stay on the feet.

Turk shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Alcaraz eats them both and turns towards Turk to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Turk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alcaraz swivels and escapes.

Turk shoots in looking for a takedown. Alcaraz tries to sprawl out of it but Turk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alcaraz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut lands for Alcaraz. That snapped Turk's head back.

Alcaraz clobbers Turk with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Turk looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Alcaraz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
