Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Noah Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlin jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noah Mayo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Mayo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Orlin jr!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayo throws a sloppy head kick and jr moves out of range easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mayo enables jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mayo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mayo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
jr throws a big elbow that misses.

Mayo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mayo wants to get back to his feet but jr passes into half guard.

jr goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mayo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in jr's guard! Nice work there by Mayo!

jr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
jr manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

jr is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mayo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mayo!

jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mayo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mayo postures up and lands a big shot to jr's brow.
jr should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Mayo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Mayo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mayo makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mayo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mayo got a little sloppy there for a moment and jr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mayo has managed to get both his arms back between jr's legs - danger averted.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Noah Mayo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Mayo gets caught flat footed, as jr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Mayo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! jr escapes and throws Mayo's legs to the side, diving into side control!
jr gets to mount! Mayo was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Mayo slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Mayo wants to get back to his feet.

Mayo trying to control but jr postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
jr not doing much here.
Mayo wants to improve his position but jr is controlling well.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

jr is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Mayo trying to hold on to jr's head to control him but jr postures up.
Mayo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Noah Mayo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Noah Mayo.

jr gets tackled into the cage by Mayo. Mayo maintains the clinch.
Mayo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mayo is trying to break the clinch but jr is controlling him.

Mayo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mayo closes this distance looking for a takedown but jr circles away.

jr shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. jr showed some decent athleticism there.
jr is looking to take a break and control but Mayo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mayo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

jr wants to get back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

jr perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
jr moves nicely into side control.
Mayo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
jr content to control rather than advance.
Mayo tries to regain full guard. Instead though, jr has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Mayo is desperately trying to improve his position but jr has a good base and remains in mount.
Mayo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mayo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. jr is working away from the top position though.

jr winds up and cracks Mayo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mayo is looking for a sweep. jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mayo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Mayo is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

jr gets to his feet - Mayo follows without any prompting.

Mayo tries to sprawl but jr drives through with a takedown into half guard.
jr is nestled in close to Mayo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mayo regains full guard. Nicely done.
jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mayo wants to sweep here but jr controlling him for the moment.
Mayo is working hard here to advance position.

Mayo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
jr's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Mayo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst jr is controlling him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
jr wanted to stand there but Mayo had control of the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Orlin jr.

And that's the end of the fight!
Orlin jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think jr has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
