Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Mattews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gump comes into the arena with Fucking Hostile - Pantera blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Gump! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Mattews! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mattews tries to clinch there but Gump circles away.
Mattews takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Gump pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gump throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mattews's waist but Mattews gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gump off to one side. Gump fails with a takedown attempt. Gump fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mattews avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bubba Gump. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Mattews looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mattews keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gump has closed the distance and engaged Mattews in a clinch.
Gump turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gump manages to end up in side control. Mattews has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Gump working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gump postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mattews can't do much from the bottom here. Gump is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mattews has escaped the position, nice work there. Mattews can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mattews is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gump goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mattews has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gump but great work by Mattews. Gump manages to get back to half guard. Mattews thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mattews in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gump tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mattews!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Matt Mattews! After the fight, Matt Mattews was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Bubba Gump spoke after the fight, saying 'I knew he was gonna be a challenge coming in. I guess I just wasn't up to it tonight...'.
