Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jayavarman Wongkrachang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kirk Karwoski!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wongkrachang waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Karwoski.
Wongkrachang shoots in for a takedown but Karwoski shows good takedown defense.
Karwoski with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wongkrachang misses with a left hand

and Karwoski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Wongkrachang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Karwoski throws a push kick but Wongkrachang slaps the foot to one side.
Karwoski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wongkrachang closes the distance and clinches up with Karwoski, looking for a takedown. Wongkrachang pushes Karwoski against the cage but Karwoski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Karwoski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wongkrachang has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wongkrachang walks into a stiff left hand from Karwoski.
Karwoski punishes Wongkrachang's body with a nice straight punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Karwoski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Karwoski wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jayavarman Wongkrachang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wongkrachang throws a leg kick that is checked

and Karwoski counters by moving into the clinch.
Wongkrachang doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Wongkrachang has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Karwoski is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Karwoski lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Jayavarman Wongkrachang has been cut.
Wongkrachang blocks an elbow strike.
Wongkrachang scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Karwoski lands an elbow inside that Wongkrachang shrugs off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wongkrachang avoids a wild elbow strike from Karwoski.
Wongkrachang goes for a takedown attempt but Karwoski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A chopping leg kick lands by Karwoski.
Karwoski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wongkrachang.
Wongkrachang throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wongkrachang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Karwoski.
Wongkrachang takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


Jayavarman Wongkrachang's cut is getting worse.
Karwoski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wongkrachang stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Karwoski is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Wongkrachang fails to land the takedown.
Karwoski has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wongkrachang is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Karwoski buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Wongkrachang is breathing heavily.
Karwoski scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Karwoski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wongkrachang's head.
Karwoski moves out of range of the strikes.
A lazy left from Karwoski finds it's target.


Wongkrachang is rocked!


Jayavarman Wongkrachang's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Wongkrachang misses with a shot to the body

and Karwoski moves into the clinch.
Oh Wongkrachang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Karwoski creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Wongkrachang! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Karwoski.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kirk Karwoski!
Kirk Karwoski seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
