Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Belcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Samir King!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in for a double leg but Belcher sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
King tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Belcher defends well and King ends up having to push Belcher into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Belcher definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

King gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
King working Belcher over with strikes.
Belcher blocking the ground and pound attempt from King.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Belcher is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Belcher is pressing down on King's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
King lands a couple of decent looking shots.
King stopping the sweep attempt from Belcher.
King throwing strikes but missing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King is working Belcher over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Belcher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

King actively working from the bottom here.
Belcher is trying to control. King wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Belcher is pressing down on King's thigh, looking to free his foot. King is holding on for now.
King is not content to let Belcher control the position.
King moves into full guard.

King looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Belcher trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

King is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Belcher trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
Belcher stands and throws King's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Belcher scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at King to see if he's OK.
Belcher advances to full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns King that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
BOOM! Belcher connects with a massive shot to the dome!

A nice elbow there by Belcher.
King keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Belcher lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.


King is rocked!
King is wriggling around trying to escape.
King is still in real trouble! Can Belcher finish him?
Belcher wants to control the pace but King is squirming around nicely.
King seems to have recovered his senses.
Belcher postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. King looks a forlorn figure.
Belcher drops a big elbow. That's hurt King! More shots from Belcher and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Belcher!
