Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marina Machado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, T J Delarosa! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machado dodges the punch combination from Delarosa.
Machado scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Machado is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Machado is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Delarosa has managed to free his arm - good work. Delarosa is trying to stand.
Machado thows a huge punch but Delarosa dodges it nicely.
Machado landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Delarosa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Delarosa is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machado is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Delarosa defends it well. Machado works his foot free and advances to mount. Machado controlling the position easily from mount. Delarosa is desperately trying to improve his position but Machado has a good base and remains in mount. Machado controlling his opponent. Machado wants to finish this one by submission but Delarosa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Machado.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machado goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Delarosa turns into him and now he's in Machado's guard.
Machado is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Machado trying to pass the guard but Delarosa defending well. Machado is trying to control the action in half guard but Delarosa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machado with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Delarosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Delarosa is trying to stand back up but Machado is controlling him

Machado is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machado is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Machado controlling from the full mount. Machado with a couple of short strikes. Machado looking to control but Delarosa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Machado working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Machado tries to control but Delarosa wriggling away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Machado is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Delarosa is surviving well by controlling Machado's body position as best he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marina Machado dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Machado changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Delarosa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Delarosa is looking for a sweep. Machado working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Machado is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Delarosa has escaped the position, nice work there. Machado is looking to take a break and control but Delarosa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Delarosa tries to buck Machado off but Machado is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Delarosa can't do much from the bottom here. Machado has hold of Delarosa's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Delarosa seems comfortable defending it but Machado has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Delarosa is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Delarosa is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Machado couldn't care less - he's delighted!
