The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurmorow punishes Greene's body with a nice straight punch.
Greene uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gurmorow.
Greene slips a jab and a cross from Gurmorow.
Gurmorow falls off balance throwing a combination
and Greene counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Greene avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gurmorow misses with a combination
and Greene connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Greene is looking to slow Gurmorow down with leg kicks.
Gurmorow cracks Greene with an open hand slap.
Gurmorow throws a nice looking combination but Greene bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gurmorow is breathing heavily.

and Greene counters with a stiff right hand.

No joy there for Gurmorow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Greene throws a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Good exchange - Greene coming out on top.
Oh Gurmorow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gurmorow takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Greene cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Greene makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gurmorow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Greene manages to avoid it.
Gurmorow seems to have got his legs back now.
Gurmorow is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Gurmorow takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gurmorow throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Greene thuds a left hand into Gurmorow's body.
Gurmorow misses with a double jab
and Greene connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Greene bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nice body punch from Greene.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gurmorow gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Greene gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Gurmorow is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Garland Greene!
Garland Greene seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
