Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solomon Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Popular-Nada Surf. Solomon Frost will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul George! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Solomon Frost! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Frost. George fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Frost checks the leg kick nicely there.
We've been hearing reports that George has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Frost throws a low kick but George avoids it. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from George lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Frost has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Frost and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. George takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
George dives in for a single leg takedown but Frost sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes. George blocks a body shot from Frost. A short uppercut from Frost. Frost pushes George back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. A right handed body shot lands from Frost.

That's one minute gone in the round. Frost postures up.
Frost told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. George is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. George escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Frost working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Frost wants to pass the guard but George is keeping the position. Frost works over George with some ground and pound from guard. George trying to keep a closed guard but Frost is proving a slippery customer.
Frost gets to his feet. George looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Frost gets caught napping as George dives in and scores a takedown. Frost manages to retain guard. George throws a big right hand that misses. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frost can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frost working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from George. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. George working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. George postures up and lands a big shot to Frost's brow. George thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Frost bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in George's guard. George tries to land a sweep but no joy. There's a bit of a scramble here and now George is on top in guard.

George has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Frost has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. George missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. George throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Frost works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Solomon Frost has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Nice straight punches there by Frost. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Frost. Excellent takedown into side control there by George. Frost is trying to improve his position. Frost taking punishment in the form of punches.
The strikes coming from George are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Frost is trying to get back to half guard. George tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Frost wants to control but George postures up. George wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frost, who protects the arm well. The ground and pound from George seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! George postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
George wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frost keeps working. George fails to land a wild elbow strike.

George working away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! George throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. George throws an elbow but Frost slips to the side and avoids it well. Frost is working to avoid the ground and pound but George connects with a decent elbow. Frost isn't going anywhere. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul George overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Frost wants to sweep here but George controlling him for the moment. Frost wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. George is pushing down on Frost's leg trying to pass to half guard. Frost is fighting to maintain full guard but George has managed to sneak the leg through. George looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Frost is controlling George's trapped leg to prevent George from advancing to side control. Frost tries to roll over but George keeps him under control.

Frost keeps control of the position for the meantime. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. George is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

George wants to free his trapped foot but Frost is holding on for dear life with his legs. Frost wants to control but George is keeping busy and won't allow it. Frost on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. George lands strikes from half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Frost trying to control here.

George misses with a takedown and Frost counters with a stiff right hand. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as George checks a leg kick. George takes a shot to the body in his stride.

George wants to control but Frost is keeping him busy. Frost tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but George wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Frost defending against the ground and pound. Frost managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by George.

George trying to control but Frost is working from the bottom. George with a flurry of punches that miss. Solomon Frost has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! George stops Frost from standing up. Frost looking for a sweep. Not yet Frost, not yet. George scoring with punches to the head and body. Frost looking to sweep here. No luck so far. George chips away with some ground and pound. George trying to control the position from guard on top but Frost is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. George keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Frost's head.

George drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Frost manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now George has Frost in his guard. Paul George is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! George tries to land a sweep but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. George looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul George showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for George, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Paul George! A very excited looking Paul George rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
