Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Finley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Tan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexander Finley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vincent Tan! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Finley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Tan in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Tan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Finley is looking for a sweep. Tan wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Finley, who protects the arm well. Tan in side control, just content to control the action for now. Tan decides to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tan. Tan stands up and we're back to a striking position. Tan lands a jab to Finley's midsection. Tan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Finley, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A head kick misses from Tan. Finley takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Finley is breathing heavily. Finley wants to clinch. Finley dives in and grabs Tan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tan pushes down on Finley's head and hops out. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Finley is looking to clinch. Finley moves in looking to clinch but Tan pushes him off. Tan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Finley is trying to defend but Tan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Vincent Tan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Tan tries a head kick but it misses.
Tan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Vincent Tan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Tan manages to pull guard.
Tan is pulling down on Finley's head to control his posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Vincent Tan. Tan shoots in and gets a takedown into Finley's guard. Finley is working an open guard so Tan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Finley closes the distance but Tan moves to the side and Tan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A head kick from Tan lands but Finley takes it in his stride. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vincent Tan dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Finley is rocked! Tan slows the pace down. Oh Finley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Sloppy strikes there by Tan. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Tan closes the distance looking for a takedown. Finley stuffs it but Tan still has hold of him. Tan picks Finley up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Tan slams Finley to the floor and that's really hurt Finley - he doesn't know where he is! Tan throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vincent Tan!
