Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lenny Floyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, George Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Floyd closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Floyd staying calm.
Floyd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Floyd lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jackson down.
Floyd stands up.
Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Floyd is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jackson pulls his head out easily.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jackson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Floyd is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back!
Floyd punishes Jackson with strikes from the back mount.
Floyd has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Jackson is defending well but eventually Floyd manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Jackson has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
