The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Snake has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jong. Jong throws a head kick but The Snake moves out of range.
Jong takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jong pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. The Snake throws a shot from downtown. Jong moves away and avoids it. We've been informed that The Snake has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Jong lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Jake The Snake has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Jong lands a big right hand that sends The Snake crashing to the mat! Jong stays standing though and waves The Snake back to his feet!
The Snake is rocked! A nice leg kick lands there from Jong. The Snake is still on wobbly legs! Can Jong finish him? The Snake shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jong manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The Snake avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Snake seems to have recovered his senses. The Snake working some strikes from top position. Jong is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! The Snake rolls with it to try and escape but Jong cranks on the arm and The Snake is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kim Jong! Kim Jong took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, //buriedALIVE// Fight Gear for their support in the buildup to the fight.
