The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Joner to the mat! Joner manages to get full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Carr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Joner can do anything to dispel that myth.

Carr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Carr drops back looking for a leg! Joner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Joner manages to kick Carr off! Carr jumps back into Joner's guard.
Carr trying to control the position from guard on top but Joner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Carr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Joner tries to land a sweep but no joy.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Joner holds on and takes a little breather.

Carr drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Carr seems to have locked his on tight now - Joner screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Carr, as he picks up the win!
